Boy, nine, is fighting for his life after Birmingham crash: Woman and man are arrested

A nine-year-old boy has been left fighting for his life after a crash in Birmingham.

Police arrived at Masshouse Lane at the junction of Shannon Road in Kings Norton at around 5.55pm on Tuesday following a collision between two cars.

A young boy was rushed to hospital and remains in critical condition. 

A man and woman have been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

The two were taken to hospital to be looked over, West Midlands Police have said. The junction between Shannon Road and Masshouse Lane remains closed.
