As the UK grapples with a fourth heatwave this year, food wastage has increased, with a recent YouGov survey revealing 22 per cent of adults were forced to toss spoiled or rotten items. 

New research commissioned by home appliance brand Hotpoint suggests that British households are throwing away fresh fruits and vegetables worth over £138 million each week.
