Rick Edwards breaks his silence on his Radio 5 Live exit after Naga Munchetty was announced as new Breakfast host as he pays tribute to his ‘super-friend’ Rachel Burden

Rick Edwards said he has ‘absolutely loved’ his five-year stint as the host of BBC Radio 5 Live’s Breakfast show as he paid tribute to his co-host Rachel Burden after it was revealed they would be replaced by Naga Munchetty.

It was announced on Tuesday that Rick and Rachel would be leaving the radio show in December, with Naga set to replace them after stepping down from BBC Breakfast

Rick posted a message on Instagram paying tribute to his ‘super-friend’ Rachel, who has been a host of the Breakfast show for 15 years.

Bosses have announced the presenter will continue to front his weekend
