But people in the worst place, Blackpool – where men die an average of 10 years earlier – bemoaned drug abuse, cheap booze and fast food, as well as poor housing.
In the areas where people lived longest, residents told the Daily Mail how there are more activities and facilities such as leisure centres and libraries to keep people active physically and mentally as they got older.
