After two daughters, the Marquess and Marchioness of Blandford have welcomed a son and heir, named Orlando Charles Godolphin.

George Spencer-Churchill, 34, whose father is the Duke of Marlborough, and his wife, Camilla, 39, delayed announcing Orlando’s arrival until the weekend, some 14 weeks after his birth.

The little boy, styled Earl of Sunderland, is in line to inherit Blenheim Palace, the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill, and its 12,000-acre Oxfordshire estate one day, ahead of his elder sisters, Lady Olympia, five, and Lady Leonora, two.
