Multiple US host cities for the 2026 World Cup are reportedly chasing FIFA for ‘millions of dollars’ they claim have so far gone unpaid after being promised to them.
According to The Athletic, FIFA President Gianni Infantino announced before the 2025 Club World Cup that soccer’s governing body would make a contribution of $1 million to each of the 11 cities across the country who were hosting matches at the tournament that year.
