The Commitments star Angeline Ball, Bono and Steve Coogan lead arrivals for the funeral of Glen Hansard in Dublin after musician died in motorbike crash

The Commitments star Angeline Ball joined Bono, Steve Coogan and Gerry Adams at the funeral of Oscar-winning Irish musician Glen Hansard at St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin on Tuesday.  

Musician, activist and actor Hansard died in an early-hours motorcycle crash on the outskirts of Dublin last week. 

The 56-year-old had featured in the celebrated film The Commitments and won an Oscar for best original song for Falling Slowly in 2008, which he co-wrote with Marketa Irglova for the movie Once.
