A woman and five-month-old baby have died after a boat capsized near the State of Liberty in New York City on Saturday night.
Multiple victims plunged into the water, and two victims, believed to be a woman and a child, were airlifted to the hospital in critical condition, police sources told local ABC affiliate WABC.
Sources told the New York Post that the woman and child were taken to NYU Langone Hospital in Brooklyn and later died.
The child was reportedly five months old.
It is unclear if the two victims who died were related and exactly how many passengers were aboard.
