Travelodge reception staff gave domestic abuser key to victim’s room in ‘most traumatic night’ of her life

A woman has told of the ‘most traumatic night’ of her life after Travelodge reception staff gave her domestic abuser the key to her room.

The victim, who has not been named, said she was attacked by her a man at the London hotel in October last year.

She contacted the BBC after hearing about Kyran Smith, who was jailed for seven and a half years for attacking a woman at a Travelodge in Maidenhead, Berkshire.
