£6.8million superyacht sinks in the Mediterranean just days after being delivered to its owner

A superyacht worth £6.8million sank in the Mediterranean only days after it was delivered to its new owner. 

The Angiola II capsized on Tuesday evening off Porto Cervo in Sardinia, Italy, between Cappuccini Island and Capo Ferro. 

Footage captures the luxury vessel tipping on to its side and submerging underwater as those on surrounding boats watch on. 

It was revealed the nearly 30 metre (98 foot) yacht was delivered to its Italian owner just four days before the incident following an extensive refurbishment. 

The La Maddalena Coast Guard was able to recover the motor yacht following efforts that lasted nearly three hours.
