Singer Frankie June released the single, Hollywood (2016), back in May, but the video has recently racked up thousands more views after fans claimed it must have inspired Ariana’s video for Petal.
Both videos are staged in the Fifties and feature an aspiring performer who takes revenge on a Hollywood executive after being treated poorly in an audition.
The styling and framing are so similar that Frankie revealed she had been inundated with messages about it – prompting her to speak out about the commonalities.
