A second train has derailed less than 24 hours after 20 people were injured in a similar incident in Lewes on the hottest day of the year.
The latest derailment occurred in Wickford, Essex, this afternoon and involved a Greater Anglia service.
Pictures shared on social media suggest the train slipped off the track and bumped into the overhead cable but remained upright.
About 40 to 45 passengers were on board the train, which was travelling from Southend, Basildon Council said.
No injuries have so far been reported, according to British Transport Police (BTP) and the Department for Transport (DfT).
