A 14-year-old boy has died after being hit by a bus near Portsmouth Harbour train station.
Police officers were called to reports of a ‘serious collision’ on The Hard, a busy street in the centre of the city, shortly after 4pm on Monday.
The teenager, who was a pedestrian, was found suffering with life-threatening injuries and taken to hospital, where he later passed away.
A 39-year-old bus driver has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, Hampshire Constabulary confirmed.
He has been released on bail until November 17.
