Tinder romance fraudster who conned victims out of £68K after claiming he was a multi-millionaire cancer patient and ex-special forces soldier is jailed for more than three years

A Tinder romance fraudster who claimed he was a special forces soldier turned multi-millionaire cancer patient to swindle his victims out of tens of thousands of pounds has been jailed for three years and two months. 

Joseph Gibson, 35, lied that he had served in the Special Boat Service, owned luxury yachts and cars, and was worth £400million.

He was eventually arrested and admitted four counts of fraud relating to three women and one man, whom he conned out of £68,000 between July 2020 and October 2021.

Gibson was jailed for three years and two months today at Bristol Crown Court after a judge
