Murder probe launched after ‘human remains of a woman aged 25-45’ are found in London park

A murder probe has been launched after human remains were found in a south-west London park.

Metropolitan Police officers were called to a woodland area nicknamed The Pitts in Padstow Walk, Feltham, August 12.

The bones which are believed to belong to a woman aged between 25 and 45 were discovered by a member of the public at about 6.30pm. 

Following a post-mortem examination on August 17, Metropolitan Police detectives launched a murder investigation.

The woodland area near to Bedfont Lakes Country Park has since been taped off and one police car remains at the scene.
