Canadian taxpayers could be paying for Justin Trudeau‘s bodyguards as he jet sets the world with popstar girlfriend Katy Perry, according to media reports.
Trudeau, the former Canadian prime minister, has been escorted by Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) officers while on his latest travels with Perry, the Journal de Montréal reported.
One of the sources cited by the outlet said Trudeau, 54, was still using the RCMP as a ‘private security agency’ for personal and political trips.
Though he has not been in office since last March, Trudeau has stayed in the spotlight this year, partly because of his relationship with Perry.
