You’d have thought the first rule at spy school was ‘hide your emotions’ – but, clearly, no one told Gary Oldman and Jack Lowden.
The actors, who play Jackson Lamb and River Cartwright in the hit espionage series Slow Horses, were photographed hugging emotionally, with Lowden even looking close to tears at one point.
It certainly doesn’t reflect their characters’ relationship – with slovenly, flatulent spy boss Lamb constantly insulting his protege, once telling him: ‘If they threatened to kill you… I would buy them a beer and a bullet.’
