An Irish mother-of-three has been found dead in Australia as a 45-year-old man was charged with murder.
Annmarie O’Reilly, 30, was found injured in a house in the Melbourne suburb Ferntree Gully on Friday.
Emergency services attempted to save Ms O’Reilly’s life but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Patrick Stokes, who is known to Ms O’Reilly, was arrested later that day and charged with one count of murder on Saturday.
The 45-year-old appeared in front of Melbourne Magistrates’ Court and was remanded to appear in February.
The property was sealed off while murder detectives conduct an investigation.
