Warning: ‘Do not eat’ popular chicken wraps over fears they’re contaminated with ultra-deadly form of E. coli

Four popular chicken wraps have been pulled from shop shelves over fears they could be contaminated with potentially deadly bacteria.

Food safety watchdogs have stuck a ‘do not eat’ alert on Snacksters’ Chicken Fajita wrap and Hoi Sin wrap, which are stocked at Iceland as well as convenience stores.

The warning also applies to East Street Deli’s Sweet Chicken wrap and Target a Snack’s Chicken Fajita wrap.

It is feared the wraps may be contaminated with a rare strain of E. coli which can result in kidney failure and prove fatal.

The alert covers all wraps with dates up to and including September 5, 2026.
