Mental health nurse denies having sex with patient and faces trial after being extradited to the UK

A mental health nurse has denied having sex with a patient after being extradited to the UK to stand trial for his alleged crimes. 

Jason Forde, 56, pleaded not guilty to having sexual intercourse with the woman at a mental health unit at Homerton Hospital in Hackney, east London, while she was receiving treatment for a mental disorder.

He also denied charges alleging that he engaged the woman in other sexual activity while she was in his care in the London borough.

Appearing via video link, Forde denied eight counts at Wood Green Crown Court on Tuesday afternoon.
