Raheem Sterling has been charged with dangerous driving and possession of laughing gas after his £270,000 Lamborghini crashed in May, it has been reported.

The former Premier League star, 31, who was arrested at the scene of the collision, faces two years in prison if convicted of the charges.

Police were called to the M3 in Hampshire on May 28 to reports of a Lamborghini swerving around the road just before 9am.

Footage obtained by the Daily Mail appeared to show the black luxury 4×4 veering across the three carriageways as other vehicles dodged out of the way.
