The Norwegian royal family has officially released the portrait of its new King – as the country mourns the passing of their beloved monarch Harald.
Sporting his regalia in the new photo, the former Crown Prince, 53, has now officially been pictured as His Majesty King Haakon VIII.
Sharing the photo on social media, the royals’ caption read: ‘All for Norway.’
Haakon’s new role comes following the passing of his father – the cousin of King Charles III – who died at the age of 89 after a brief stay in hospital.
