A 14-year-old boy allegedly inspired by Adolf Hitler has denied planning to stab worshippers at two mosques – attacks which were supposed to have been carried out today had he not been stopped.
The schoolboy, who cannot be identified because of his age, intends to plead not guilty to engage in conduct in preparation for terrorist acts, and to one count of racially aggravated criminal damage, the Old Bailey heard today.
Wearing a blue top and appearing via videolink from youth detention accommodation, the boy spoke only to confirm his name, and date of birth during the 15-minute hearing.
