For more than 20 years, Clare and Matt Kennedy-Smith and their two daughters have marked every special occasion – from Christmas Day to Easter Sunday, plus birthdays and anniversaries – with a family walk along the Glendorgal Headland, close to their home in Newquay.

Clare and Matt, both 50-year-old teachers, could also be found walking their dog along the idyllic Cornish coastal path, leading to the sands of Porth Beach, a couple of times every week.
