A woman has been found dead in a pond at a popular park in Lancashire.
Police were called to Lowther Gardens in Lytham at around 9am on Monday following reports of a body in the water.
Officers initially said the woman’s death was being treated as ‘unexplained’. In an update, the force said the death was not being treated as suspicious and that a report would be prepared for the coroner.
‘Our thoughts are with her loved ones at this difficult time,’ police said. The woman’s identity is yet to be established.
