Trump demands Supreme Court unblock access to ‘error-prone’ federal voter database including Social Security and citizenship data

President Donald Trump is asking the Supreme Court to restore access to an immigration voter database with just weeks until the midterm elections. 

It is the latest in a flurry of election related cases Trump has punted to the high court for last-minute intervention.

Solicitor General John Sauer asked the justices to halt a lower court’s June ruling that blocked the Trump administration’s access to the DHS database – dubbed the ‘Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements,’ or SAVE – used to verify individuals immigration status.
