A 67-year-old woman has drowned after falling in a flooded street and getting trapped under a car amid flash flooding in Majorca.
The woman is believed to have slipped in the street and then fallen under a car as the intense water rushed down the street on Wednesday afternoon in Felanitx.
The force of the water prevented the woman from freeing herself from beneath the vehicle, where water had become ‘about two hand spans’ deep, local media reports.
She was found without a pulse by locals who alerted emergency services, with local police and the Civil Guard attending the scene.
