Noel Gallagher is facing a lengthy period of construction work at his new £11.5million mansion after being given the green light by council chiefs to overhaul the rundown Grade II-listed building.

The historic London property, built in the mid-19th century, needs a complete refit as it’s plagued with significant issues such as structural movement, a leaking roof and rising damp.

In the past, the stunning five-level home had been extensively altered and split into flats before a previous owner converted it back into one single home again.

This has caused Noel a major headache, although it’s not known if he knew this before
