A man and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect after a one-year-old baby girl died.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Atherstone on Friday morning, at around 11.50am, after reports of an infant in cardiac arrest.
Paramedics attending the incident in Long Street battled to save the child’s life, but the baby was pronounced dead.
Two people have since been arrested on suspicion of child neglect, and a heavy emergency services presence remains in place at the scene.
