A Metropolitan Police officer who called his colleagues ‘wastemen’ on his own podcast has been sacked for breaching policies around social media.
PC Idominik Efeotor, of the Met’s Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command, was dismissed this week without notice at an accelerated misconduct hearing.
The hearing on Monday was told that Mr Efeotor published podcast episodes and social media content between 2024 and 2026 while identifying himself as a serving officer.
He initially declared the podcast as a business interest, but permission was later withdrawn.
