Kentucky Republican Senator Mitch McConnell, 84, was recorded visibly struggling to speak during a Wednesday meeting on Capitol Hill.
A glazed-eyed McConnell, who returned to Capitol Hill Monday after an absence of more than 90 days, appears to have been assisted by two colleagues, who told him that it was time to cast a vote, or even what vote to cast during a markup of the Farm Bill. He was instructed to vote ‘Aye’ on the legislation.
McConnell, who led Republicans in the Senate for nearly two decades, has been dogged by health problems throughout his final term.
