President Donald Trump said that US officials met with Iranian counterparts at the UN General Assembly in Manhattan on Tuesday, indicating that the two discussed ending the nearly seven-month conflict.
Pressed by the Daily Mail on whether a meeting was to take place, Trump declared that it already had.
