Three men have been arrested after a woman was ‘gang raped on a migrant dinghy during an Atlantic crossing’ last week.
Spanish police detained the suspects, aged 21, 25 and 30, after the woman reported her ordeal when the vessel reached Lanzarote on the back of a Spanish coastguard rescue on September 16.
The alleged attack happened at high sea on an inflatable dinghy during a horrific crossing in which more than a dozen people are believed to have died.
A witness also came forward to police and gave a statement after confirming that he had seen the sex attack take place.
