A five-month-old baby girl died after her mother fell asleep while breastfeeding having drunk five glasses of wine, an inquest has heard.
Poppy Hamilton, from Weymouth, Dorset, moved her daughter Nancy into her bed at 4am on August 16 last year as the baby struggled to sleep during a heatwave.
But as she was breastfeeding the child, the mother fell asleep.
Ms Hamilton woke up at 8am and discovered her baby unresponsive with a pillow over her face.
