Get back! Fab Four’s Rubber Soul to be No 1… 61 years later

It topped the charts in Britain and the United States 60 years ago, staying at No1 for eight consecutive weeks.

And now The Beatles‘ sixth studio album Rubber Soul looks set to dominate the charts once again.

The classic record, which was released in December 1965, has been re-released with 24 early session recordings, which includes 20 previously unreleased takes.

In addition, three previously unheard home demos have also been made available.

Last night, the Official Charts revealed the record had bounced back to No1 in the Album Charts.

However, it faces competition from achieving the top spot this Friday from English indie rock band
