Farmer who was renowned for sharing his business struggles dies aged 35 after starrring role on BBC Countryfile

A fourth-generation farmer who starred on BBC’s Countryfile and was a passionate advocate for the trade has died aged 35. 

Fans paid tribute to the ‘committed’ and ‘talented’ Frank Carr, who died on September 25, describing him as someone ‘who represented the very best of the next generation’. 

Mr Carr, helped to run Lee Gate Farm in Malhamdale, North Yorkshire, overseeing a significant beef and sheep business which had around 250 breeding cows and 1,300 breeding ewes, as well as cattle to be sold for meat. 

But the young farmer had spoken honestly on Countryfile about the challenges of the lambing season in the Yorkshire Dales
