An ‘unprecedented’ El Niño will trigger severe storms and power cuts that could leave millions offline this winter, experts have warned.
Around 26.7 million Britons lost broadband connection last year, according to new research from Uswitch – up almost a fifth on the previous year.
Power cuts are now the leading cause of internet outages, eclipsing provider faults and contributing to 41 per cent of service failures.
