A US servicewoman based in the UK who killed a couple in a head-on collision after losing concentration behind the wheel has been spared jail.
Jasmine Dessaure, 37, veered into a car driven by Dilipan Sebastiampillai on a single-carriageway road in Brandon, Suffolk, in April 2023. Mr Sebastiampillai, 43, and his wife Dorota, 41, were killed in the crash
Dessaure, based at RAF Mildenhall, was driving ‘well within the speed limit’ but lost her focus for ‘just under two seconds’ which led to the fatal accident.
