Former leader of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) Jeffrey Donaldson has been jailed for 15 years for child sex offences which were covered up by his wife for more than two decades.
Donaldson, 63, was unanimously convicted in June of 18 offences against two victims which took place over a 23-year period and were actively concealed by his wife Eleanor, 60.
In a victim impact statement made in court today, Victim A told how she had been left with ongoing anxiety, nightmares and extremely low self worth.
The court was told she grew up feeling dirty and ashamed, and carried high levels of anger.
