A Romanian gang who were caught tunnelling into a jewellery shop after they were linked to a spree of burglaries worth more than £700,000 have been jailed.
Ioan Asafeti, 39, Laurentiu-Daniel Nitisoara, 38, and Sergiu Plastin, 42, had stolen the goods after gaining access to Selvaraja Gold House in Mitcham Road, Tooting, in May.
But they were foiled when they tried to burrow into the same shop two months later and ultimately jailed for a combined total of 10 years and two months.
Police body-worn footage showed police discovering a hole in the wall of what appears to be a shower room inside the massage parlour.
