A man suspected of murdering an innocent woman in the street appears to have been attacked and robbed just days after entering prison.
Lawrence Johnson, 26, was remanded in custody after being charged with the murder of Alisha Samuels and the attempted murder of another man.
Ms Samuels, 26, was found with stab wounds on Dorking Avenue in Manchester at around 2am on October 15, and later pronounced dead at the scene.
Johnson was subsequently arrested by Greater Manchester Police alongside Carl Hardy, 19, and 19-year-old Tony Evans. All three men have since appeared in court and are being held in jail.
