At least 44 people were injured, including one in a critical condition, after a passenger train derailed in northern France, officials said.
Three carriages overturned on tracks between the cities of Rouen and Caen on Friday at around 7.45pm local time.
The train was carrying 180 passengers and went off the rails near the town of Cleon in Normandy, French transport minister Philippe Tabarot said in a post on X.
The incident occurred after the train hit an unidentified object on the track, a spokesperson for the French police said.
