Wycliffe star Jack Shepherd left ‘£1million to second wife in his will’ after he died aged 85

Wycliffe star Jack Shepherd left exactly £977,511 to his second wife Ann Scott, after he passed away aged 85 last year.

According to The Sun, Jack passed the entire sum onto his wife, whom he wed in 1975.

Jack is survived by his wife Ann and children Jan, Jake, Victoria, Catherine and Ben. 

The Leeds-born actor, best known for starring as Cornish detective Charles Wycliffe in the ITV series based on the WJ Burley novels, died following a ‘short illness’.

The drama aired between 1993 and 1998 and starred Shepherd in the lead role as Wycliffe, who investigated murders in Cornwall alongside his colleagues DI
