Donald Trump has said he will decide imminently whether to extend the ceasefire between the US and Iran – but Tehran has already cast doubt over the deal. 

The blockade of the Strait of Hormuz ‘will now be lifted’ as part of a deal with the regime, the US President has confirmed as he is expected to make a ‘final decision’ on peace.    

‘I will be meeting now, in the Situation Room, to make a final determination,’ he announced on Truth Social Friday, referring to the White House‘s nerve centre for monitoring global crises.
