An urgent manhunt has been launched for a violent robber who is on the run after he escaped custody while being transported to hospital.
Marwan Jumaa, 20, was serving an indefinite sentence at a secure hospital facility following his conviction for two robberies that left two women seriously injured.
He was last seen in the Radcliffe area of Greater Manchester and has been described as a threat to himself and others.
Jumaa absconded from North Manchester Hospital on Tuesday evening where he was due to receive medical treatment.
He has been described as black, of skinny build, with short dark hair, and about 5ft
