Trump blasts ally Jeanine Pirro’s decision to drop Reflecting Pool vandalism case as he disputes DoJ findings

President Donald Trump has publicly turned on longtime ally Jeanine Pirro after she moved to dismiss charges against a US Olympian accused of vandalizing the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. 

Pirro, a prominent Trump loyalist whom the president appointed as US Attorney for Washington, DC, argued that new evidence showed the damage was caused by a botched renovation rather than vandalism.

But Trump sharply rebuked his longtime friend and former Fox News host on Saturday, disputing his own Justice Department’s findings.
