A manhunt has been launched after a 75-year-old woman died following an armed burglary at a home in London.
Police and the ambulance were called to reports of an aggravated burglary in Tollington Park, Finsbury Square, at around 9.20pm on Tuesday.
The woman was taken to hospital after being assessed by paramedics, but sadly passed away 24 hours later.
An 81-year-old man was also injured and taken to hospital, but was discharged the following day.
A crime scene remains in place at the house and along Evershot Road, and a post-mortem is due to look into the woman’s cause of death.
