A Somali man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a stabbing at a migrant hotel near Heathrow.

Police were called to the Stanwell Hotel in Stanwell at around 6.30pm today following reports of a stabbing.

A man in his 20s, who police said is a Somali national, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

The victim, a man aged in his 30s, was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Police said they are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident and urged the public not to speculate.
