A charity wrongly sued by the daughter of M*A*S*H star Sally Kellerman following a row over her dog has told how it was left almost bankrupt after a cafe refused to let her and her pet inside.

US-born Claire Kellerman – whose late aunt and adoptive mother played Major Margaret ‘Hot Lips’ Houlihan in the original 1970s film – sued Outer Hebrides charity Great Bernera Community Development Trust (GBCDT) in an action funded by taxpayer cash.
