Four people are stabbed in neck and face by knife-wielding lunatic on the loose ahead of one of New York’s biggest parades

Four men were stabbed by a knife-wielding lunatic just hours before New York City‘s Carnival parade was expected to begin.

The violence erupted in Brooklyn’s Crown Heights neighborhood just before 6am Monday, NYPD said.

A 23-year-old man was stabbed in the neck and a 36-year-old man was slashed in the face near Carroll Street and Utica Avenue, officers said.

Less than 30 minutes later, police were called to the intersection of Utica Avenue and President Street, where a third man had been attacked.

The victim, a 32-year-old, had also been stabbed in the neck, police said. All three men were transported to nearby Kings County Hospital.
